Initially, Liliesleaf was not sure whether the 'Pen Gun' was given to Oliver Tambo by either the Cuban's or the East German's.
Following research undertaken by Liliesleaf, it became apparent that the 'Pen Gun' was given to Oliver Tambo by the East German's.
Apparently, the Gun was developed by the East German Secret Police, the Stasi.
